The Art Of Nothing.

As a makeup artist, I have been through sort of a progression in my career. When I started out, I tended to favour brighter and more visible makeup and often used the whole makeup box on one look. As I matured as an artist, I focused more on subtlety, the no-makeup makeup and the art of a soft hand. As I’ve become a tenured artist I’m drawn to the art of what’s not there just as much as I’m interested in what is there. 

I absolutely loved crafting a skin look for this shoot without using foundation, and just using skin care products, sheer balms, transparent powders and whispers of colour to really highlight the model’s natural beauty.
